Kim Victoria Cattrall is an Canadian actor of the English nationality born July 21st, 1956. Her best known part was Samantha Jones, in the HBO Series Sex and the City. The series brought the actress five Emmy Award nods and received four Golden Globe Award noms. The year 2002 saw her win the Golden Globe Award as Best Supporting Actress. She reprised her role as the lead on Sex and the City 2: Sex and the City (2008 and Sex and the City 2) (2010) films. In the 1980s she played lead roles as a Police Academy Big Trouble Little China Mannequin as well as Porky's. Kim Cattrall's performance in the HBO TV sitcom Sex & the City is the most memorable. It also was critical and commercially popular and critically acclaimed. Before she began her acting career as a model, she worked as an Swedish model. Then she won in the Miss Sweden contest. She moved to the US, and began appearing in multiple movies as minor characters. She portrayed the role of Venusian guard in Abbott and Costello Go to Mars, her first part in a credit performance. Soon after, her appearance in Blood Alley won her the Golden Globe for Most Promising newcomer.
